Ministers

Superintendent - Rev Philip Peacock

A brief biography: Philip was born in Accrington, Lancashire, but brought up mainly in the West Midlands. He read Biochemistry at the University of Birmingham, then taught at Aldersley Comprehensive School in Wolverhampton (main subject: Chemistry). After doing work as a Lay Pastoral Assistant in the Harrogate Methodist Circuit, Philip did his theological training at Wesley House Cambridge.

Philip's previous ministries have been in the Tavistock (Devon) and Orpington (London Borough of Bromley) Circuits, with experience of prison chaplaincy at HMP Dartmoor and HMP Belmarsh. His interests include sport (especially football) and the relationship between science and faith.

A recently discovered challenging quote: ‘Aspire not to have more, but to be more’ (Archbishop Oscar Romero, 1917-1980).
